This Broken Wheel is Coming Undone....

Dr. Yang was in this morning - all cool, calm, and collected. He assures me the hemorrhaging will stop. To lower the risk of possible infection (remember the elevated white blood cell count?) he is having my central line that was surgically put into my neck removed today and starting a large bore peripheal line into my arm.  This will be the new way I will be receiving all further blood, meds, etc.
And the units of blood, plasma., and platelets just keep coming.

Just more stuff.

I'll let ya know how it goes.

  1. That's reassuring! I'm holding on to that as GOOD NEWS! All is relative. Hope your rash has subsided and you're feeling at least a bit better. I know all this seems impossible to bear so stay strong and focus on the jabberwocky (Alice in Wonderland...try to figure that one out in your spare time :-). Think how great your life will be once you get over these hurdles.

  2. There certainly are many bumps in your road. It seems impossible when you are going through it but later it will fade. Dr. Yang being cool and collected is a good thing, hang on to that. You can do this!! Sounds like the staff is truly amazing. We are grateful that they are taking such good care of you.
Have you counted the number of ceiling tile in your room yet??
Continue to be the strong man that you are.

  8. If suffering builds character, patience and makes you strong then you will emerge as a bonafide superhero! When you go through rough storms and come out into the sunshine on the other side, life is warmer, sweeter and more precious. God will use this for good in your life.
Thanks for allowing us to walk with you on this journey.

  10. Glad you heard a bit of good news today--will pray this trend of news will continue in a positive direction. Sorry you have the rash--very annoying I'm sure. Will keep positive thoughts and prayers going your way! Feast of the Assumption is this week. Will pray for the Blessed Mother to interven to her Son on your behalf with graces and healing. I pray also to the Holy Spirit for the health care workers who care for you--keep them alert, vigilant, wise, knowledgable, skilled, and caring. Sleep well tonight--keep hopeful and faithful thoughts on your mind. Dot

  13. I am expecting your Dr.'s next to fill you with some liquid metal, and then for you to have sharp metallic claws protruding through your hands...and you being impervious to all things!

Hugh Jackman/Wolverine has nothing on you Bob!

Thoughts, prayers, hopes, and humor with you cousin from us here on the "Left Coast"

Keep well, keep positive, keep hopeful!
