No Problema

OK, well as far as a three hour IV goes, that wasn't too bad.

The Cytogam Cytomegalovirus Immune Globulin Therapy Dose #1 seemed to go well.
No need for EMS. No harsh reactions.
They caution about muscle pain later but it's way too nice of a day so I'm not  going to anticipate any trouble.

Seems like a lot of hype for just an IV (as I've gotten pretty darn used to them) but it IS a blood product and as the nurse said: "Better to error on the side of caution."

Thanks for checking in here.

  4. After they have replaced 2 organs in a body it is interesting how some of this high level stuff becomes more "routine"! Glad to hear that things went well and hope all is still going well. Continue to enjoy this early fall weather.

  7. No adverse effects to report so I'm 1/3 of the way there with the Cytogam.
No visit to clinic today just more bloodwork but I did get a call from them - they are messing with my meds again.
They are increasing my Magnesium Oxide to 3x a day. Spacing out my 1500 mg of CellCept to 4x a day instead of just twice. And they have increased my Prograf to twice of what it was at night. Argh. Prograf is what has been causing me the tremors so this dosen't make me all too excited.
There is a bit of light though because as of Sunday, they are switching me to a long duration form of Prograf that should, in theory, lessen these tremors. So I remain hopeful and we'll see.
